Cape Verde

Do I need to quarantine when I arrive?

  • No, you do not need to quarantine when you arrive in Cape Verde.

What testing requirements are in place?

  • From 01/07/2022, the COVID-19 vaccination certificate will only be valid to enter Cape Verde for those who have received the booster dose of the vaccine. You will need to have the UK’s printed version of proof of COVID-19 recovery and vaccination record. Cape Verde will will not accept digital proof. Anyone who has not received the booster dose will need to present a negative Antigen test certificate which was taken within 48 hours of travel, or a negative PCR test certificate taken within 72 hours of travel. Non-vaccinated travellers over 12 years old must also present a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of boarding, or a negative antigen test taken within 48 hours of boarding. Your temperature will be checked upon arrival and you may be required to take another COVID-19 test.

  • From 06/04/2022, there will be no requirement for travellers arriving from the UK for either a COVID-19 vaccination certificate or a negative COVID-19 test. You are no longer required to routinely self-isolate or take a PCR test on arrival in Cuba, but authorities are present at the airport and will carry out random PCR tests.
