Summer in Cyprus (June to September) isn't just warm, it's HOT! We're talking temperatures skyrocketing to 30-35°C. Oh yes, this is suncream and sunglasses territory, my friends!

Swing into spring (March to May) and autumn (October and November), and the weather in Cyprus cools its jets a little. It's still balmy though, with temperatures lingering in the delightful range of 20-25°C.

We promise it's as magical as it sounds. This coastal path runs all the way from Latchi to Aphrodite’s Baths, with the most incredible views of the med and the Akamas Peninsula along the way. The hike is about 8k in total, so bring water, comfy shoes and make sure you've slathered on the suncream. Top tip: if you take the route anti-clockwise, you'll get the steeper part of the walk out of the way first and be able to enjoy the views more on the way back.

Embrace the magic at the Fairy Tale Museum

Located in Nicosia, this place only opened in 2017 and was designed to preserve and promote the fairy tales, legends and myths from across Cyprus, Greece and beyond. When you first walk in, you'll find yourself in an oversized library where you can immediately get lost in the interactive exhibits, rare books and intricate artwork. Unlike some museums where there's a look but don't touch rule, in this place, you're actually encouraged to open drawers, turn handles and play around with gadgets. All in the name of learning!

Explore the Adonis Baths Waterfalls

'Natural wonder' is the only phrase for this place. It looks like something from a children's storybook, with leafy canopies drenched in sun and the peaceful trickle of the waterfall in the background. Legend has it that Adonis and Aphrodite actually bathed in these waters, so there's often a sense of romance about the place, just in case you're looking for a new date idea to impress your special someone! You can go for a swim in the cool waters or just admire the view and snap some pics. Either way, you're in for a treat.

Say 'cheese' (and then make it)

Halloumi is an absolute staple on any menu around these parts, and that's because it's made locally! If you consider yourself a bit of a cheese fiend or you're travelling with someone who is, we definitely recommend a visit to one of the local halloumi dairies where you can enjoy a hands-on experience of making the halloumi for yourself! It's a centuries-old tradition, and trust us, after touring the grounds and giving it a go for yourself, you'll have a whole newfound appreciation for the delish Cypriot cheese.

Wander through the Ayia Napa Sculpture Park

This open-air gallery is FREE to enter (we're already sold), and it's located right near the beach (OK, we're going). It's located across from the Marina Hotel and there's a bus stop right outside if you plan on getting public transport. Once you enter, you've got over 50 modern sculptures to admire, created by artists from all over the world. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a peaceful wander, and there's even a taverna next door if you fancy a tipple for your efforts. It's open from morning to early evening, and we hear the views are even better at sunset.

Take a hike in the Troodos Mountains

If sitting still by a pool every day isn't your idea of fun, you might want to hit up one of the gorg hiking trails up in the Troodos Mountains. There are a bunch of routes to take, from beginner to expert, each offering breathtaking views along the way, pretty plants, rivers and even some scenic waterfalls. It's a nature-lover's dream!

What are the best events in Cyprus?
Cyprus' events calendar is a vibrant mix of history and Med charm, hosting all kinds of carnivals, festivals and sports contests throughout the year to add a bit of extra sparkle to your jolly. Here's a rundown of some events you might want to mark on your calendar:
- Limassol Carnival (March) - this all-singing, all-dancing festival marks the start of Greek Orthodox Lent, with a two-week-long celebration featuring colourful parades, contests and flamboyant floats

You'll find this action-packed waterpark in Ayia Napa, and it's actually known as Europe's biggest themed waterpark (not to brag...). Think activity pools with obstacle courses for the kiddos, a lazy river, tube slides with heart-pounding drops, and weekly wave pool parties that know how to bring the fun. There's no such thing as boredom here.
The Blue Lagoon
If you're a fan of snorkelling, swimming or admiring gorgeously clear yet vibrant waters from the safety of a boat, you're gonna want to take a boat trip to the Blue Lagoon. You'll sail past some epic coastlines on the way (let's just say your Insta story's gonna be popping off), and if you do choose to go for a dip, then legend has it that swimming in these waters will give you eternal youth and eternal beauty. Ever fancied taking a dip where the goddess of love and beauty emerged from the sea? Well, the good news is, that's exactly what Aphrodite's Rock is. And if your answer to that question was 'no', then you can keep scrolling - we've still got plenty for you to do!
For those of you still here, this cute little cove is an iconic part of the Cypriot heritage. It's got the peaceful vibes, it's got the gorg views, and the huge jutting rock is all part of the experience. Bring swimwear no matter what time of year you visit, because quite often the water's calm and mild enough for a dip, and even if you're on dry land, you can kick back and enjoy the view. There's a wall where you can post wishes and write on rocks to mark your visit, too.
