The home of holiday perks

We get it. You probably need a break more than the little rascals do. If you've not already got one booked, we can bet our bottom dollar that you're holding out for a 2025 holiday. So let's be real for a sec - would you rather be stuck at home, rummaging around for endless snacks and games, OR would you rather be by a pool somewhere, sunning yourself stupid while the entertainment team take care of all the...well, entertainment? Yeah. We thought so. You really don't need to be going through another round of Baby Shark, do you? Leave it to the pros.

Great holidays aren't just for the summer holidays, either! And - if you go for an all inclusive family hotel, you won't have to close your eyes and count to three every time the kids whine that they're hungry or thirsty. What else do you think buffets and self-serve drinks are for? And if your kiddos are a bit too old for all that mini club malarkey, that's what hotels with waterparks are for. That'll keep 'em quiet. Well, actually, it'll make them scream their lungs out, but they definitely won't be bored 🤷. And, if you still haven't sorted any plans for the next set of school hols, it's just as well we have a bunch of last minute holidays, perfect for the kids!

Top hotels to visit in the school hols

Good news: Friends hasn't been removed from Netflix yet. Other good news: there's more than one half-term in a year, which means you can visit more than one of these hotels if you really fancy. Which you definitely will if loading your plate at the buffet, sending the kids off to colour in and zip down waterslides, and bobbing your head to a bit of live music in the evening sounds up your street. And if it doesn't then...you OK? From good ol' Benidorm (not just for adults), to scorching Marrakech, these hotels *definitely* trump a day at the seaside back home. No sandwich-stealing seagulls or mid-summer rainstorms here. Phew.

What kind of holiday do you fancy?

Everything included 🍔

All-inclusive holidays make everything easier than your eggs at breakfast, and we're all about that. Making things easier, that is - not eggs at breakfast. Although we're totally about that too. Oh, and bacon. And cereal. And pancakes smothered in Nutella. What were we saying again? Oh yeah...all-inclusive holidays. Well, coincidentally, all that's a pretty standard breakfast plate for us after a trip to the buffet. That's the perk of going all-in - even the pickiest eaters are covered (which is a godsend for family holidays with the kiddos). Plus, you'll have all your entertainment included, and that cheeky post-dinner cocktail (or two). (Or three.) So, whether you're looking at holidays to Tenerife, Greece holidays or even holidays to Lanzarote, it's literally all covered. Cheers to that. 🍸

Tropical vibes 🌴

Sometimes, you've just gotta go the long-haul! Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SPONGEBOB SQUARE PANTS...and you. Well, you if you book a stay at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts in Punta Cana, that is. Everything's Nickelodeon-themed there, even the rooms - including a Pineapple Villa. Well worth that long-haul flight. And if you're not afraid of spending a few extra hours on a plane, you can't go wrong with a trip to Florida. It's packed to the brim with restaurants, activities and theme parks (including Disneyland Universal Studios), so there's no chance of the kids getting bored, and the same goes for Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort in Thailand with all its water rides, activity courses and chilled-out lounges. Oh, and don't even get us STARTED on all our beaut Cape Verde holidays. Who said cheap holidays abroad can't be exotic?

Budget-friendly 🤑

Budget-savvy beachers, we see you. We too love a good bargain - it's why we've got that 10p packet of out-of-date biscuits in the office at the moment. Don't worry, though - these holidays are definitely not out-of-date, and there are no stale custard creams to be found. We just do one better by offering you pick 'n' mix packages, so you can choose if you want to go all-inclusive so that everything's covered from the get-go, or go for something a bit more affordable and laidback - like half board or self-catering. And - because we're more flexible than a contortionist doing beach yoga - we've got flexible payment plans so you can pay your way - in one lump sum or in bite-sized instalments. Always looking out for ya.

Cheap half-term holidays

Where do you fancy jetting to in the school hols?

Greece

Greek holidays need no introduction, but we'll give them one anyway - otherwise this page would look a bit weird and our Marketing manager would shout at us. All we can say is, who doesn't love creamy feta, chilled-out beaches and swanky swimming pools? We can't think of anyone, and we don't want to. And before you get all but the kids don't care about that stuff - hold your sunhat. There'll still be plenty entertainment for the kiddos, and even a waterpark if you play your cards right. All that just a few hours' flight away? It's an absolute no-brainer if you're feeling freaky for Tzatziki, or just wondering what holidays 2024 has up its sleeve.

Turkey

Basic hotels who? Not here. Turkey hotels are BIG on entertainment. We're talking jaw-dropping, hold-onto-your-sunhat kind of fun. Forget those snooze-fest hotels where the kids are always at a loose end - holidays to Turkey have got you covered, with huge outdoor amphitheatres, whopping waterparks and kids' clubs packed with excitement. So, if you feel like there aren't enough card games or colouring books in the world to keep your rascals entertained, that's where this place comes to the rescue. Especially all-inclusive Turkey trips, which come with literally everything. It's also a top pick for an October holiday, thanks to its year-round toasty temps. With a comfy 20°C average, beach days are still very much on the agenda. So what d'ya say? Dive into tasty traditional kebabs (not the greasy, post-night-out kind), and sweeten things up with baklava and a side of Turkish coffee this half-term.

The Canaries

The Canaries are basically the land of eternal sunshine, which means it doesn't matter when you go, you can definitely leave the rain mac at home (and pack an extra swimsuit instead). Whether you've got your eye on Tenerife, our holidays to Fuerteventura, or Lanzarote with its cosy 23°C averages and classic golden beaches, like Costa Teguise - these stunners have a bit of everything. Think mind-blowing waterparks to Insta-worthy beaches and more activities than you or the kids can shake a palm tree at. Just a heads up, though: the sand gets HOT over here, so make sure you pack your fave pair of trusty flip-flops. And as for the food...ever eaten in a fairground-themed restaurant? Us neither, but you can bet your bottom dollar we're booking a stay at Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife so we can do just that. And if that's still a bit too plain and simple for you, you can head to Lanzarote's rocky landscapes for a volcanic BBQ or bumpy camel ride, or swirl some local vino at a wine-tasting gig. Told you these guys had a bit of everything.

Cyprus

If Greece and Turkey had a baby, it'd be Cyprus. And what a combo it is. You've got the delish Greek food influences (AKA, all the halloumi), gorg Turkish-style beaches to sprawl out on, and a healthy dash of history to impress your folks. With 22°C as its October average, it's the perfect weather for a bit of sun, sand and sea action. Plus, with huge hotels offering everything you need (and a few things you didn't realise you needed), you won't even have to leave the resort if you don't want to. Get you a destination that does both 🌞

Which school holidays are you heading off in?

February

When Christmas is over, you've finally made it through the January drag, why wouldn't you want to whisk the kiddos away for some sun in February? Jetting off early in the year not only gives you something to look forward to ASAP, but also means you can dodge the peak season madness and actually enjoy a beach day without being towel-to-towel with the family next to you. It might not be as scorchin' as the summer time, but there are still plenty of places where it's still nice and warm in Feb (without leaving you sweating buckets). Think Fuerteventura for some year-round sun, and good ol' Dubai with its desert climate if you fancy going all-out.

May

May is like that perfect sweet-spot between spring and summer. This is when the weather really starts to pop off in destinations like Cyprus and Spain. And guess what? The deals are still absolutely mega. You're sliding in before peak season, meaning you can save that moolah for an extra round of cocktails, a spontaneous boat trip, or an extra souvenir for grandma. Hotel facilities tend to be in full swing from May too, which means the waterparks are ready, the kids' clubs are open for business, and the fun's about to start. So, what d'ya say? Cheeky May vacay?

October

Spooky season? 🎃 Sorry, we don't know her. Around here we only know holiday season, which is...well, every season for us. There are loads of places where it's hot in October, so if you're still craving a bit of the ol' beach action, don't worry - you can look forward to cooler temperatures, friendlier prices and a cheeky half-term so the kiddos can come along for the ride too. We've got some great cheap holidays in October for an autumn getaway, and you won't see a woolly hat or a pair of wellies in sight.

Why choose On the Beach for your next half-term holiday? (Ireland)

'Why wouldn't you choose On the Beach for your next half-term holiday?' would be a more suitable question, but we're probably a bit biased. We think we're really cool. But if you really want the juicy stuff - the reason we have so many happy customers is probably to do with our year-round deals, super-low deposits and the fact that we send so many of you to the beach every year - so you can book your half-term holiday with more confidence than Beyonce singing Run the World.

Which half-term is cheapest to go on holiday in?

It's never easy trying to snag a cheap holiday deal during the school hols (well, unless you book with us - we've got cheap deals coming out our ears!). But here's the tea: booking a jolly in Feb or October is your best bet for bagging a bargain, because you can avoid all that peak hustle and bustle, and those peak prices!

Where's the best place to go for sun in May half-term?

There are plenty of places where the temps start to heat up just in time for May, and word on the beach has it that Turkey is up there with the best of 'em. Beach days, guaranteed. Spain's also a top pick (when is it not?), and even the Algarve is known for its mild climate in May. Wherever you pick, make sure you bring those sunnies!

Looking for *even* more holiday inspiration? Don't worry, we know. All these absolute banger hotels are hard to choose from so we've pulled together even more page guides to help you whittle them down and book your next half-term holiday (and even the one after that...!).
