Autumn Holidays

Whoever created this idea that holidays are just a summer gig has clearly never met us. Like, ever. There are only two things in our eyes that can crank your beach jolly up a notch: 1) getting to brag about it on social media when you know the weather's 💩 back home, and 2) getting to take your summer wardrobe for one last spin. Just ask Charlotte from our Content team. She's all about holidays in autumn (and no, it has nothing to do with it being our busiest work season - she promises). She recently went to Salou in October and had a whale of a time sharing sunbed snaps while the rest of us yanked our big coats on and wrestled with our brollies. Turns out, there are places where it's hot in October. And even if you're craving city vibes more than beach days, we've got our fair share of those - and it's still gonna be a heck of a lot more exciting than staying at home. Long story short? Autumn holidays are always a good idea 🍂🏖️.

Our top autumn holiday deals

OK, so the number one best thing about a beach holiday in September, October or November is obviously kissing buh-bye to the grim weather. But the next best thing? You miss the summer rush, so everywhere's a bit less crowded and a lot more chill. That's exactly what the vibe's gonna be if you book a stay at one of these beauts. We even included Best Negresco which is where Charlotte buzzed off to last October. Apparently they had all-inclusive cocktails on tap (literally).

Where to go in October for sun

Believe it or not, not everywhere's as dull and drizzly as back home in autumn. There are some places where it's still sunny and warm in October (can you imagine?), and you don't *have* to go long-haul to find it. (Although we've got cracking deals there too and you'd totally have a bangin' time.) Check out these hotties for your dose of autumn sunshine...

Top Canary Island breaks in autumn

The Canaries are to holidays what Jennifer Aniston is to the acting world (and the human race) - always hot. There's no questioning it. There's no understanding the physics of it. It just is what it is. That's why these toasty islands always come out on top for a splash of autumn or winter sun. Because why sit at home blasting the fire and morphing into a human-sized blanket burrito when you could be strutting in your swimwear and flopping down a towel at the beach? Yeah. We thought so.

Top Portugal holidays in autumn

We're just gonna come out and say it - you guys are sleeping on Portugal, and you're seriously missing out! It's like the underdog of holidays, and if it's not already on your radar - it needs to be. Portugal holidays are the perfect shout for when you don't like your beach breaks too scorchio, because it's nice and mild in autumn, but still cool enough to explore without getting a massive sweat on, with a cheeky little breeze in the evenings. It's like how the weather back home's supposed to be in spring and summer. Have a nosy at these top Portugal hotels if that sounds like a bit of you...

Best city breaks for autumn

We'll always love beach breaks, but that doesn't mean we can't have a piece of the ol' city break pie too. The thing about autumn city breaks is you can beat the summer rush and avoid those pesky heatwaves - because drinking coffee on patios and getting lost down cute little streets is slightly less fun when it's a zillion degrees and you've got pit stains bigger than the Eiffel Tower. Speaking of which, we've got some cracking deals on Paris (and other city) breaks below. We know. Smooth 😎
