Please note that the below information relates to bookings with Ryanair flights, made before 12pm on February 27th, 2024.

Thank you for booking your On the Beach holiday, we can’t wait to send you away for some sunshine.

As your departure date approaches, we want to make sure that you’ve got everything you need to ensure that your travel experience goes as smoothly as possible.

Ryanair have an extra step to their booking security and safety process, so we want to make you aware of exactly what you need to do in order to be able to check in online. We’ve pulled together a simple guide to help you.

How to verify my myRyanair account

We'll need you to verify your myRyanair account. You can do this either on the Ryanair website or app:

  1. Click on 'My Bookings'

  2. Enter your flight reservation number

  3. Enter the unique email address we have generated for your booking. You must use this email address. You can find it in your booking paperwork, or when you when you log into your account, so that we have visibility of your booking.

  4. Choose either Express Verification or Standard Verification. You'll need some ID and a device with a camera for either of these methods.

Express Verification uses facial recognition technology to verify your ID. It takes approximately 2 minutes and there's a small admin fee of €0.59.

Standard Verification uses your signature to verify your ID. It can take up to 7 days and there is no fee.

Once your identity has been verified you will be able to access your booking to enable us to continue managing your holiday for you. Please note that if you don’t choose either of these options you can still verify your identity at the Ryanair ticket desk before departure, however, additional check-in fees will apply, and you will not be able to manage your booking in the run-up to your holiday.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why am I being asked to verify my account?

Without verifying your booking you will not be able to check in for your flights online.

What email address do I use to verify?

Please ensure that you use the unique email address we have generated for your booking found in your confirmation paperwork rather than a personal email. This will allow us to continue to manage your booking on your behalf as your travel agent (for example updating your hotel reservation and transfer if there are changes to your flight). Please be aware that if you enter your personal email address rather than this unique email address, Ryanair will send all communications relating to your flight to you, not to us, so we will not have visibility of any flight changes or cancellations and will therefore be unable to manage your booking for you. If you do put in your personal email address, it is your responsibility to tell us promptly about any changes that Ryanair communicates to you.

You can find your unique email address in the Flight Voucher section of your confirmation paperwork.

Why have you created a unique email address for me?

As your package organiser, we have the responsibility to manage your package holiday and ensure that everything goes smoothly for you. In order to do this, it is critical that we receive information about your flight directly from Ryanair, which we use to manage your holiday for you as your travel agent. When we receive information about your flight from Ryanair, we will deal with any associated changes to your package (e.g. changing the time of your transfer or your hotel check-in time) and we will pass on to you the information as well.

To ensure the communications come via On the Beach, we create a unique email address just for your booking (if we used your personal email address, we would not receive the updates from Ryanair).

We send you details of your unique email address in your booking confirmation so you can use this to log in to your Ryanair booking and check in.

Am I able to change this unique email address to my personal email?

We ask that you continue to use the unique email address we have generated for your booking rather than a personal email. This will allow us to continue to manage your booking on your behalf as your travel agent. Please be aware that if you change this to your personal email address, your airline will send all communications to your flight to you, not us, so we will not have any visibility of any flight changes or cancellations, and the effect this may have on the rest of your booking or package. If you do put in your personal email address, it is your responsibility to tell On the Beach promptly about any changes that Ryanair communicates to you.

How soon after receiving my booking confirmation do I need to verify my account?

We will not be able to manage your booking for you without you completing this step, so we request that you complete this process as soon as possible.

Do I have to check in online?

If you’re travelling with Ryanair, you’ll need to check in online. All check-in and log-in details can be found on your booking confirmation email on the flight voucher.

How do I check in with Ryanair?

If you’re travelling with Ryanair for both legs of your flight you’ll need to check in online on Ryanair’s website or app for each reservation number you have been provided with, as each number represents one leg of your flight.

Online check in details can be found on your booking confirmation, under the flight voucher section. Please ensure that you use the unique email address we have generated for your booking found in your confirmation paperwork rather than a personal email so we can continue to manage your booking on your behalf as your travel agent. Please see the FAQs “Why have you created a unique email address for me?” and “Am I able to change this unique email to my personal email?” above for more information on why this is important.

Online check in for Ryanair opens 24 hours before each flight is scheduled to depart unless pre-allocated seating or a Flexi Plus ticket was purchased. In this case, online check in will be available up to 60 days before the departure date of your flight. If you download the Ryanair app, you can even check in online by using your smartphone or tablet! Please note, online check in will close 2 hours before each flight is scheduled to depart.

**Please note that failure to check in online with Ryanair in advance of your travel may result in charges at the airport.**

Do I need to print my boarding passes?

Due to new airport health and safety measures, printed boarding passes will no longer be accepted. Please ensure that you are able to present boarding passes for your entire party on a smart device and that your device is fully charged.

How can I add Ryanair priority boarding?

If both your Outbound and Inbound flights are with Ryanair, you can add priority boarding via the “My Bookings” area of our website and selecting “Add In-flight Extras” in the menu. If only one of your flights is with Ryanair, please login into “My Bookings” and send us a message.
