Anantara Riverside Bangkok
Overview
Antara Riverside Bangkok is an 11-acre resort (now we don't tend to measure things in acres, but we know that's BIG) on the edge of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. It's mahoosive, but there are maps dotted about the place so, don't worry, you won't get lost. Although, if you were to get lost, the outdoor swimming pool would probably be the best place to do that. You could just sit among the palm trees, sipping a cocktail from the pool bar, without a worry in the world. Sounds bliss to us.
Location
The Grand Palace - 15 minutes away by taxi, and it's right next door to the Reclining Buddha, too! Or if you ask at reception, they'll organise a tour for you
Khaosan Road - around 20 minutes' drive away, for souvenirs and cheap beers
Lumphini Park - only a 15-minute taxi ride
Bangkok Airport - 40 minutes' drive away
Rooms
Choose from their Deluxe Rooms, Deluxe River View Rooms, Deluxe Riverfront Rooms and a range of Suites
Every room type comes with...
Air conditioning
Furnished balcony or terrace area
LCD TV with DVD Player
FREE high-speed Wi-Fi
Rain shower and bathtub
Food & Drink
Benihana - Teppanyaki restaurant where the chefs do all sorts of tricks as they cook up a storm right in front of you
Riverside Terrace - banquet-style buffet (it's huge) by the river with Thai cultural performances in the evenings
Trader Vic's - riverside dining in a tropical restaurant, Trader Vic's is the home of the Mai Tai cocktail... so it would be rude not to try one
Spice & Barley - located on the 3rd floor with city views, this gastro lounge cooks up Pan Asian dishes in a boujee setting
Brio - this Italian restaurant and pizzeria has all your favourite holiday staples (namely, pizza and pasta)
SEEN - you'll definitely want to be seen at this rooftop restaurant and bar
There's also the Maa Laa Café for coffees and pastries, Longtail riverside bar and Loy Nam pool bar for all-day drinks and the Lost & Found underground night club with live performances from musicians and drag artists

Outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by palm trees and plants, and who doesn't love plants?
The garden room - the perfect place to chill out
