La Villa Du Rhone

We booked the Cedars apartment for a couple of nights mid trip. We were greeted by Charles who is the most welcoming of hosts. He checked us in with refreshments, talked us through the apartment, area and must see sights. Due to arriving on a French holiday he dropped further drinks off for us and also offers a lovely breakfast or evening meal service. He and his wife have such a lovely property. The Cedars lodge is large, has air conditioning, every amenity you could need as well as incredible views from bed through the open doors or from the huge roof terrace which has sun all day. Charles was kind enough to make restaurant recommendations and even book us a reservation.
I cannot recommend Villa Du Rhone enough, thank you for such a lovely stay and your hospitality.

My wife and I stayed in the Cedar room which has a magnificent view over Miribel, park and lake, and towards The Alps. It is a convenient location to visit Lyon. The room was very clean and the bed is large and comfortable.

Was very nice ❤️ I really enjoyed my time there.. I was there for a short journey but this place is very chill..i extremely recommended 😍❤️the view during the day is splendid you can see all the Alpine mountains and during the night is mor then magnificent 🌃♥️

We came across La Villa du Rhone when searching for somewhere just outside Lyon that was dog friendly whilst we were making our way down to Turin.  We ended up loving it so much that we cancelled the hotel we'd planned to stay at on our return to stay there again. 

On arrival we were welcomed by Charles who immediately made us feel at home. Our room was large with views over the lakes which we could enjoy from the bed. We also had a lovely large terrace, where we enjoyed a glass or two of rose in an evening. 

Breakfast is self service with fresh baguette, pain au chocolate, croissants, fruit juice, ham, cheese and yoghurt. Charles and his wife Severine keep bees and we enjoyed homemade honey too. 

Miribel itself is small but there are two good restaurants within walking distance of La Villa and Charles made the reservations for us. Note that Madone serves all you can eat Gambas on Friday evening and these were delicious.  Lyon is less than ten minutes away on the train so its perfect for those who want to spend time in the big city but then return to somewhere quiet and relaxing. Parking is free and very safe as there is an electric gate into the property.

The villa is surrounded by a lovely garden and lots of trees. It also has a small pool and I enjoyed several swims on my own which was blissful in the June heat.

Charles and Severine are fantastic hosts and really seem to care about their guests. It's a beautiful place and we will definitely be back.
