Premiere Classe Montpellier Sud - Lattes

The Premiere Classe Motel is easy to find in Montpellier and has good parking available. There are places to eat not far away.  The room is comfortable and the breakfast offered is good.  The value for money of this Motel offered is pleasing. 

Pleasant Stay at Premier Classe in Montpellier

'Premier' No. 'Class' No - The building is tired and ugly, like a very dated motorway-side American Motel. The rooms are tiny - I mean really tiny! Don't be fooled by the hotel's email picture! It must've been take when it was new, many years ago!
It's situated near a cement works (or similar) down a lane. Quite hard to find. I booked it because it was dog-friendly but I won't be staying there again. Suitable for the workmen who stay there who's van engines start at 5.45am. Don't be fooled by the Premiere Classe email picture of the room!!
Despite being somewhat depressing, we did have a comfortable night. the bed was good.

'Open Prison' on the outskirts of Montpelier

Tricky to get the right exit from the D 986, close by Ibis and F1, poor signage, quiet location, also favoured by international hauliers for stopover, no facilities around so eat before you arrive. Easy access to motorway or coast, vehicle essential. Room was clean and tidy, wifi good.

Hidden away

Stayed here on a recent trip to the local antique fair. If you are looking to eat out, you will need to drive or get a Taxi. It's a little off the beaten track.. Not the end of the world, but feels remote and uneasy. I booked 2 weeks in advance. Sadly our room's previous occupants had not observed the no smoking rules, as was apparent from the chocking smell, and the holes in the bed spread. It was a freezing night, but controlling the heating was impossible. Have stayed with this chain before, and this was by far the worst example of this chain I have come across. In the operators defence, the staff are always helpful and pleasant.. Sadly they couldn't change our room on this occasion, as they were full..
The breakfast is good value at just under €5. The cafe was clean,and everything was fresh.
If you need a quick fix, you get what you pay for, and at €42 a night, for up to 3, you get an idea of what to expect. It was just a shame our room had such a bad smell.
