Residence Azureva Le Grau Du Roi

This place had a really boring vibe, there was nothing going on. It felt like you where in a retirement home felt really depressing. The pool area was nice and clean but they literally had like 12-15 beds due to COVID. We have been traveling around  South of France for 2 weeks and this was the first place who had this rule for the beds. The rooms where clean when we arrived but there was there are no built roads so all the roads are dirt roads and your room just ends up with endless sand you just cannot clean as there is sand and dirt everywhere as you step out your room. The staff where friendly, but to be honest if you are looking for something with a good vibe and good entertainment avoid this place. If you prefer a place where it is super quiet and nothing going on then this is the place to go. Also you can tell the place has not been renovated in a long time everything just looks super ancient. The only thing that looked new was the kitchen area in the room that was about it. Everything else looks like it has been the same for the past 20 years.

Would not go again

The Azureva at Le Grau du Roi is a very convenient place to stay, not fancy, clean and very friendly and rates are more than reasonable. It's an ideal compromise between a camping resort and a modest hotel.
It's located very near the fantastic Espiguette beach. Ideally you can reach the beach from Azureva by bike. Aigues Mortes, the beautiful ancient city is only a few kilometers away. Beautiful horseback riding is just next door.

Simple accommodation next to the Beach

We spent a few days with family with a 13-month-old baby. 
The only little plus of this azureva remains the little cottage.
No air conditioning,
A baby kit without mattress in bed and without bathtub.. no high chairs! Baby kit? Not really!! 
Unheated swimming pool and paddling pool.. 
Mosquitoes and ants galore!!

A few days in the Camargue

Very good family stay.
The accommodations are spaced out, without too many views, and the green spaces are numerous and well maintained.
All the staff are very available and attentive. The entertainment was very appreciated and the bar/restaurant area is very pleasant (and the service quality).
It’s a shame that the beautiful swimming pool area could not be used due to the too cold temperatures because the swimming pools are neither heated (which is understandable) nor covered (which is a shame).
Big downside, beyond the control of the service provider, are the numerous Camargue mosquitoes!
