All the staff were so friendly; the hotel had the French themed decor. The location was great, easy to get to from airport. Special shout out to Catherine who was so helpful with suggestions and booking tours before I even got there! Really helped make the most of my little weekend break. The breakfast buffet  was also delicious and spoilt for choice.

Fantastic hotel

Stayed for 3 nights at at Villa Otera, Staff are so friendly and hotel is as described on website. Breakfast is beautiful and all you need to start the day. Very central to train and in a quiet residential area with good links to trams and train station. Our second time there and we will be back. Room was spotless and great nights sleep.

Fantastic Stay at Villa Otera

I am really struggling with the even three stars given to this hotel. Honestly, I had a better time in “real” three star hotels including the breakfast. Even everything was clean and cozy there are some issues, which cannot be accepted in this category of a hotel. First, the noise. You can hear your neighbors talking in the other room even they have a chat only. Second: the doors are not soundproof, which is annoying once the cleaners outside are doing their job while you still try to sleep or if other guests are coming at nighttime. The main issue for sure is the breakfast, which would be in general not so bad if the mix of the dishes would not be messed up. First: none of the dishes is made fresh except the scrambled eggs, potatoes and bacon – but all three of them are convenience products simply heated up somewhere in the back. The issue is: day one you get only scrambled eggs, day two you get the sides but only boiled eggs (which are ice-cold from the fridge). The pancakes, also not made a la minute, cold. There are two sort of juices, fruits from the can, one sort of bread and one sort of bread rolls. Also the area to be seated: small with about 12 tables but huge chairs blocking your seating. Therefore, this concept of breakfast is not appropriate. The plus at this place: free coffee and water (sparkling, non-sparkling) including syrups free of choice. Also at teatime, they offer you a variety of cake free, some snacks later. The Wi-Fi is perfectly working everywhere. The staff is also very attentive and helpful. Close to train station and a ten minutes walk to next subway station is good, but to center of the city u need to accept a 15-20 minutes walk. Compared to the price you pay for this: excellent. However, the important things (sleeping well and having nice breakfast), are not met.

4 out of 5 experience in this hotel. It was in a quiet street but in a prime spot in the centre. Near the train station and a little walk to beach. It was clean and stylish. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They offered free drinks all the time , plus happy hour with free pastries aswell at 4pm. We could highly recommend this hotel to stay at.
