One of the worst hotels in the world,  definitely the worst I have stayed in.    They don't service the room if you don't press a button which you could easily miss.  You need to press the button before 11 p.m. previous night to get your room clean the next day.   Even after pressing the same and it showing on their system they did not clean our room.  After informing the reception as usual he said that it is not his job and that since it was post 9 p.m. there were no cleaning people there.    Horrible experience.

TERRIBLE HOTEL

We booked this trip a few weeks in advance, and were very happy that the date finally came around. The hotel is well organized from start to finish in my opinion, with guests being able to arrive by car, as in our case, and park just outside the main entrance to be able to check in swiftly.

Check-in itself went very fast, with the employee answering all our questions without any problems. We received our key and instructions on how to use the Car-lift, as we had booked one of the „upper-floor car-loft“ rooms. This definitely is one of the largest selling points of the hotel, and it definitely lives up to it. Once you arrive on your personal parking space on your terrace, with a beautiful view over Frankfurt Airport, it truly is an experience that you won’t forget quickly. From a security aspect is it nice to see that your car is right next to your room, and easily accessible incase you forgot something in your car, and the lift only functions with the keycard programmed to your room/floor, so no other person who stays in the same hotel can access your car/terrace.

The room was very spacious and extremely modern and clean, with a „living room“ area, along with the bed, which we will get onto soon, and a modern Bathroom, with separate Toilet and Shower. However, for people who might not be too intimate with each other, everything inside the room is just separated by a curtain and the doors for the toilet and shower have a substantial gap between them. Therefore we recommend only taking this room if you know the person you are staying with well. The ambience of the roof was very well set, with many warm lights, and a neon light, which you are able to turn on and off, for your car on the terrace. 

Unfortunately I am not able to give 5 stars, as the bed was extremely uncomfortable and very hard, which might be someones‘s taste, but unfortunately not ours, as we only got around an hour of sleep and woke up with heavy back pain. There are no bars under the bed for cushioning, as there is only a solid wooden plank holding the matrass. 

As we were only staying for a night and did not know any ‚procedures‘ the restaurant on the 12th floor, with a wonderful view of the Airport and it‘s runways, „The Roof“ was completely filled. As we asked if there was a place available, we were told that we needed to reserve, where I then wondered why we were not told that at check-in, even when I asked about the opening times of the restaurant (18-22h). We had to sit at a table in the lounge, which was still comfortable, so we were as lucky as we could have been in that situation.

What was very pleasing to find out was the friendliness of a waitress at dinner. It seemed like she was one of the only people catering to guests needs constantly, while most of the other waiters stood around and only served wine to some tables every couple of minutes. She was very friendly throughout our stay which lasted a couple hours in the evening.

The food there was absolutely delicious, however I would not go as far as saying that there is a large amount of choice either. Still, a very enjoyable diner with view of the Airport on one side and the skyline on the other.

The breakfast the following morning that we had booked had a large variety, and friendly and motivated kitchen staff.

To conclude our stay, it was very simple to go back down the car-lift, and to drive around the corner to check out, where unfortunately I was not asked if we had enjoyed my stay or if there was anything else that needed to be done. It did seem like the employe there had no interest in us being there, however this was not a big issue in the slightest.

Overall, we will hopefully be coming back, with maybe a bit more luck on the comfort of the bed for a good nights sleep. I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone interested in cars or aviation or both.

I stay in a lot of hotel and get a lot of great exspirences. This one was at the top. Nice Roms with Nice beds. Amazing restaurant and bar On the rooftop.

Stopover before departure the next morning to Asia. Well accessible hotel opposite of Terminal 2 of Frankfurt Airport, just separated by the highway in between, but don‘t worry, you can not hear anything as the isolation is perfect. We booked a „Spotter“-room, that means in an upper floor facing the airport. The room was well equipped, clean and provided everything we needed. We decided to take a romantic dinner at „The Roof“ on top of the hotel as we formerly took it before traveling far in the „Käfer“ in Terminal 1, which is unfortunately closed for good. Nevertheless, the food at „The Roof“ is very good, the wine selection also and we enjoyed a fantastic view of the skyline of Frankfurt city.
