Zuri White Sands Resort

This is our second visit to Zuri White Sands. For us as a couple it has everything we need. The grounds are beautiful and maintained daily by hard working staff. We love spending lazy days on the beach and staff are always friendly. 
The rooms could do with a little TLC but they are clean and we don’t really spend much time in the room anyway. 
There are a number of beach shacks and restaurants outside of the resort that do amazing food at reasonable prices. 
We are already looking at coming back in 2026.

Another wonderful visit

Our 3 generation American family stayed here for 3 nights. The grounds and pool are the centerpiece. The kids loved the extensive pool, with a refreshing waterfall  to swim through. The rooms are large and well tended, each with a bonus patio for sitting or drying swimsuits. There are several restaurants: The main one is also the breakfast room. It is a sumptuous breakfast buffet with Indian and non-Indian dishes and many made to order options. We also enjoyed dinner at the beachfront restaurant where we watched the sun go down over the water. And the pan-Asian restaurant with delicious sushi. I don't know the cost because it was part of a tour package

Elegant resort with meandering pool

My wife and I came here for college reunion, stayed 3 nights, had breakfast,3 lunches and 2 dinners. Having stayed in so many 5 star hotels around the world including India, we have never experienced such poor quality food and services anywhere. It seems staff just doesn't care, you ask for cutlery as there's none on table and it takes 6-7 minutes and 1 reminder to get it. Buffet food selection was absolutely awful, same Indian dishes in lunch and dinner, for vegetarians, as my wife is one, there was very limited choices, only lentils and breads in dinner that we had last night. 
It was surprising to see that chef tried to sell same fish in lunch and dinner as salmon when it obviously wasn't, when challenged he sheepishly said that it not fresh catch of the day but frozen river fish, no names provided. Breakfast was okay with choices of north and south Indian food. 
Rooms are outdated, need renovation, room services are so poor that despite requests to put tea bags and coffee in room the room service doesn't do!
It's costed us much more than what we have paid for better food and services in other 5 star hotels outside Goa and India. This makes us wonder why one will consider this hotel for visiting Goa in future. Place seems to be popular as wedding venue and staff tries to please them ignoring others. 
Clearly, we will not recommend this place to anyone and we will not return here. Stay here was very expensive, now I understand why other tourists from abroad are choosing places outside Goa likes of Thailand, Malaysia etc. which  are less expensive and provide better services and food. 
Stay here made us also realise that one should never just go by Trip Advisor or other reviews and take these with a pinch of salt.

It's just not 5 star place and experience, very disappointed.

A lot of negative reviews on the state of the furniture etc, yes it's a little run down but I didn't travel to Goa to look at the wardrobe. The rooms are cleaned daily, the showers are hot and the bed is comfortable, a special mention to our cleaner Mahesh, he did a great job. Safes are provided, AC worked well

We stayed on a B&B package which was perfect, the breakfast was more than enough to fill the belly for the rest of the day and the staff were more than helpful. It's a little busy when the weddings are on but if you wander in earlier enough it's fine.

Poolside is fine, more than enough loungers for everyone although the resort was a little quiet when we were there, or you could wander down to the beach if you wanted. The Pool and the grounds are immaculate. A special mention to Prakash who was very helpful as was everyone else.

Location of the resort is Varca which is bang in-between Benaulim and Cavelossim. It takes about an hour to walk to Benaulim along the beach and about an hour and a half to Cavelossim. Lovely beaches and plenty of shacks to stop at to have a cold one or a dip into the sea which is like bath water.Food in the shacks is of a decent standard and in some exceptional, well worth a visit. If you don't fancy walking then just jump in a taxi, bit of a con but it's approx 1200 rupees there and back and they'll wait 1 hour for you, if you want to stay longer, each subsequent hour is 200 rupees.

There are some good restaurants outside the front of the resort, Leos Roar is worth mentioning, the food in there was vey nice. Plenty of restaurants in Cavelossim to visit, all good.

If you intend on hiring a car, make sure you pick up an International licence from the Post Office, you'll need one although they will hire you one without one but the police will certainly ask for it and demand some money.

Transfer to the resort from the new airport (GOX) takes about 1hr 45mins but it is a good introduction to driving in India!!

Cold beer 100 rupees, meal out for 2 including a few wets, no more than 2000 rupees.

Wall to wall sunshine, didn't see a cloud the whole 2 weeks we were there. Around 30C and a gentle breeze, perfect weather and a perfect holiday. Looking forward to next year.
