Being an American on their first trip to Italy, this hotel suited every need you may think of. Firstly, the owners go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Next would be the location, you get to be in a nice quiet area to sleep, but also you are within a couple KMs of Funo Centrale where you can catch a train to most of the major cities to cross off your bucket list. Finally the amenities, along from the option of a fabulous breakfast you can sit out back on the patio and unwind and converse with friends. This staff goes the extra mile with surprise cakes, and tips on where to go in the cities. I stayed there for almost 3 months and would definitely stay longer if my work visa let me. Kudos to this beautiful Residence.

Little slice of Paradise from your everyday life. 

We arrived at Bologna airport and took a taxi, 30 minutes drive costing Euro32.00.  We were greeted by the owner's uncle Francesco. Quick check-in procedure and Giuseppe gave us his gentle welcome and presentation of this charming accommodation. He explained the breakfast procedure for which they give you a ticket to present to a cafe one kilometer down the road.

We went to unwind and freshen up in the room, a nice well sized room, very clean with tea making facilities and biscuits in room. 

Early evening we went down to make our way to a restaurant for some food.  Here we met both Francesco and his nephew Alessandro who i the owner of this B&B.

Franceco speaks good English and Alessandro speaks perfect English which far beats my Italian qualities. Alessandro explained where to find the closest restaurants, which are best value for money with good food. As we spoke we explained that we had encountered a serious problem when we arrived at the airport.  The listened attentively, gave us their opinion on the matter and also some advise.  Above all their support made us feel a lot better as both my wife and myself were under extreme stress.

We had pre-booked and pre-paid a hire car from Autoeurope through the internet to be collected at the airport on arrival.  When we went to Goldcar to collect the car we gave them a debit card to confirm a guarantee for the full insurance cover but they insisted on a credit card and not a debit card. So i offered to give them my wife's credit card. They had some issues because they should have the passport, the credit card and the driving licence all in the driver's name but eventually they accepted.  Only to discover a few minutes later that my wife also had a debit card. So I said no problem, I give yo a cash guarantee.  No this was refused - CASH REFUSED!!! After more aggravation I was put on the phone to a manager who only said no can not do anything and informed me that I was not getting the car and that I was not getting a refund on the money paid.  A total scam, a rip off!

We arrived at the B&B on Sunday afternoon and were due to leave on Wednesday morning to carry on with our holiday.  Alessandro now gave us details of bus service and told us which places to visit so we can make the most of these few days in spite of the wrong start to this holiday. The moral support these people gave us will never be forgotten.  This goes to show how nice it is to be able to give a good service to guests. On Wednesday morning just before we left the hotel Franco cae to me as I made my way downstairs and handed e the DHL envelope containing our new Credit Card which we had ordered urgently from our bank in Malta. I asked Francesco to fix us a taxi to the airport where we could rent a car and continue with our holiday.
Francesco confirmed he had booked us a taxi as we requested. We got our luggage down from the room and as we approached reception desk, Alessandro arrived at the door. To our great amazment, Alessandro decided to cancel our taxi and he drove us personally in his personal car to the airport for which he refused payment.  Yes Alessandro took us to the airport personally free of charge. These people could not be any kinder. I have been in the hospitality industry for many, many years and I hope that at some point I was this helpful and this understanding to my guests.
We have no words to express our gratitude to these people and hope that this will help your readers book a service which is well cared for. Thank you - we will definately be back.

Home from home

친절한 Allessandro, 버스정류장에서 호텔까지 걷는 아름다운 길, 햇볕이 잘 드는 큰 창, 깨끗한 공기, 조리가 가능한 부엌, 맛있는 에스프레소 머신, 깨끗한 침실과 로비, 아침에 들리는 새소리..... 게다가 가격도 저렴하다니... 사랑스러운 호텔입니다! (단 덥거나 추운 계절에는 차량이 있어야 가능할 듯 합니다)

Kind Allessandro, beautiful road from the bus stop to the hotel, sunshine through a big window, fresh air, room has a kitchen to cook, nice esspresso, clean room and lounge, birds singing in the morning, more over decent price! We all LOVE this place! (You might need a car in the season when it's too hot or cold)

아주 만족스러운 호텔! I love this place!

We chose this place for its good reviews, free parking and spacious rooms.  We didn't really intend to spend time inside Bologna, so this seemed ideal.  It was almost perfect, with Alessandro being a wonderful host.  The room was spacious room and parking was parking.  Alessandro does everything and is thus quite busy attending to guests' needs, but was always around to eagerly give suggestions for meals or changing a light bulb. 

There were a couple of hitches with the wifi, whic was limited as it was still in progress of being limited, and the room temperate, which got quite cold as fall weather came early and heating hadn't been turned on yet.  Aside from that, it was great.  Being situated on a quiet country road, it is a great place for a morning run.
