The B&B is not as described, we were taken in to the flat which has cctv in the communal areas and given a set of keys. The man who met us at the gate spoke no English so we did not understand him and as he left quite quickly he did not give us much information. The property did not feel particularly secure as we heard what sounded like someone trying to open doors in the flat multiple times. The “air conditioning” in the twin room is actually a medium sized fan perched on a chair. When looking in the mini fridge in the room there was an open and use bottle of water. The buffet breakfast was some stale package pastries left on the table with some dirty cups. We left after 2 nights and chose to stay somewhere else as we did not feel secure or comfortable there. I’m addition to our twin room there were 3 locked rooms and we were unsure if we were sharing with other people or not, and we were not comfortable leaving our valuables there as the front door did not lock properly. I would not recommend staying there.

Not as described

The first two days there was no heating and the third day, it was like a furnace and I had to keep the window open all night and caught a cold.
There is two bathrooms, one next to my room and you could hear every sound that the users made. It only had hot water for one day. The other one you had to wait ages to get in as people used it as a dressing room,
The lady was very nice but she is struggling to cope and the problem with the heating was because she struggled adjusting it.
There was 4 keys to get from the gate to the room. The problem was that they were not marked and at nights it took ages to find the right one for each door in the dark
The B&B is a 10 minute walk to the bus stop and a 30 minute bus ride to the city. My promised twin bed was a single and the fridge was missing along with the bottled water. The TV remote could only turn it on and off. 
I dont consider the room value for money. The lady was struggling getting up the 2 flights of stairs and had to rest every 2 steps. She spoke to me all the time even though I did not understand a word she said.

Freezer to Furnace

It was a decent stay, the room was big and the ride to Bologna really not a big deal. The old lady didn't speak English but it was clear she was really trying to help me anyway she could and worried about my well being there. I had to wait outside the building a bit, as when I got there, she wasn't home, so please note that you must have a bit of patience (after all, she is an elder). There is also a Lidl nearby, which you can go to by taking the bus or walking if you fancy a 25min-ish walk.

Friendly lady

This rental is conveniently located close to the bus lines that easily take you to the town center, the train station or the airport.  It was raining when I arrived so I took a cab for 10 euro.

The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the breakfast is a nice spread with a variety of breads and coffee, yogurt, juice and cheese.

I did not mind the shared bathroom because there are two of them and I was the only one using the one at the end near the kitchen where my room was.

Clara is a very kind lady and she loves to chat.  Fortunately I could understand her because i speak spanish and I recognized many of her words.  I think it is great that she felt so comfortable chatting with me.

This rental is awesome for the price and the location is in a very nice neighborhood with very little noise.  And the WIFI was excellent.

I recommend this place as base for touring the rest of northern Italy.
