Piazza Castello Suite

The location is fantastic.    Finding the hotel was challenging,  directions were not sufficient.    Room was run down and a bit moldy.  Bed was not very comfortable.    Couch was stained.  Rooms on the plaza are noisy most of the morning and evening.    No effort made to give recommendations.   Room not well stocked with basics like soap.  

Mixed experience

NOT a hotel.  More like a suite of rooms inside a former palace/villa.
Minimal “hotel like” services - room cleaning, coffeemaker, etc.
Large spacious Room.  Our’s overlooked the piazza.
Location is excellent… 3 museums within 1/4 mi and many attractions less than 15 min walk
Small kitchen (not used) for cooking/prep small meals (w/ refrigerator, 2 burner stove, etc.)
Nice Nespresso coffeemaker
Front desk person (8am-8pm) was helpful with tours/sites.

Bathroom layout was poor with large glass door and issues with hot/cold water faucet mixing issues (both days).

Very good.  Would stay again.

Checking in was pretty straightforward. I had a single room with an external private bathroom. I don’t recommend this for solo female travellers to be honest because it means locking your room with a key, unlocking the bathroom with a separate key, locking bathroom, unlocking room which was a bit of a pain and I didn’t feel super safe. The room was quite modern and clean, some biscuits and coffee available in the room. I had my bank cards stolen which I had hoped the hotel might be able to help me with in an emergency situation but no that wasn’t possible. The lady working on reception was lovely though.

don’t recommend external bathroom option

This is a series of rooms which are well located.
Reception is rarely manned.  We had to phone to get in (at international rates).
There was no kitchenette (or utensils, crockery - not even a spoon).  The air con was of limited effectiveness.
Wifi useless.
