Belken Hotel Tokyo

A handy hotel within walking distance of Tokyo Station, so handy for evening arrivals. My room had a view of the expressway, so hardly very scenic, but decent sound proofing.  Comfy bed, but I did not like the pillows with tiny little beads that dug into my head- I resolved to wrapping my jumper around it.  An automated payment machine at reception, and not the friendliest of all the hotel staff I encountered during 3 weeks in many different hotels, but fine all the same.

Does the job, near Tokyo Station

This was my first time at the Belken Hotel, and I really enjoyed my stay! I would come back. The rooms are clean, and upon entering, I saw they even gave us PJs, and disposable slippers to wear in the room. All basic needs are met. The room is warm as well as sound proof to ensure a good night's sleep. The bed and pillow are super comfy! I like my beds firm so this was perfect. The pillow was filled with little beads, so you can contour it to the shape of your own head! Love that! Everyone in our group said they all slept very well because bed and pillow were so comfortable. Let's be honest, rooms are very small but that is typical of Japanese hotels. It's just mean to be slept in and leave your luggage. Belken Hotel knows this, and so I really love that they have a lobby space on the ground floor where you can hang out/eat dinner, and drink delicious complimentary coffee, ground fresh from whole beans! I had 3 cups every morning because it was so tasty! There is also free water and additional amenities for guests by the coffee machine and front desk. There's also a laundry room but I didn't use it so don't know how much they charge. The bathrooms are nice and the water pressure is good. Staff is very friendly. Location was fantastic; it's a 10 minute walk from Tokyo station and is right next to the Pokemon Center and a fancy mall. I highly recommend!

A good choice for first timers

Stayed for a night. 
Approx 15 min from Tokyo station easy walk, 3 min to convenience store, 6-7 min to coffee shops for breakfast. Free coffee & water at 1F reception area. 
Room was clean, bed was bit too soft and pillow was very hard.
Quite reasonable for this area.
Receptionists were nice and supportive.

Good value

We spent five days at the Belken and it met our needs.

It was nice seeing staff at the reception and having questions answered (even if mostly via Google translate)!  They even helped arrange a taxi to take us and all our luggage over to Tokyo Station.

The rooms were reasonable in size for a single.  I had a view of the expressway but the room was well insulated for sound but at least it was a real window with a view of something.

The bathroom was good for a single and sufficed for our stay.

My room was serviced each day but if I opted out then I received a bottle of water.

In the lobby they had coffee, tea and water all day.  There were maps of the area along with some brochures.  Chairs and window seating were nice along with outlets for charging.

We walked everyday towards the Takashimaya department store for the Nihombashi subway entrance or Tokyo Station.

I would consider coming back in the future.  The floor numbers mounted on the outside of the hotel made it easy to find out way.
