Comfort Hotel Tokyo Higashi Kanda

So we have discovered that booking a hotel in Japan  that actually give the correct number of beds are hard. We are a family 2 adults and one child and lots of hotel wanted us to all sleep in one bed. 
The comfort hotel came to the rescue and we were able to get a room with enough beds for a comfortable stay.

The hotel is in a great location. We enjoyed the quiteness of the area but I was easily walkable to loads of places. 

The staff are all so friendly and helpful. 

The rooms were cleaned everyday.

The beds were so so comfortable. 

The breakfast as great everyday. 

We had the most fabulous 9 night stay.

A gem of a hotel

I stayed five nights at this well valued tourist class hotel.  It had what I needed and a better than expected breakfast.  The rooms are small, but you have a mini fridge a desk and tv and a desk chair.  Theres not a lot of room for items but I had just a carry on bag.  The hotel had self service laundry machines which was helpful and was near several convenience stores and walking distance (ten minutes or so) to multiple subway lines and the JR is a few minutes longer walk.  The area is relatively quiet but you can access busier areas easily like Akihabara by foot. Only thing missing was a little fitness center.  This hotel was largely for tourists and business people. Nothing fancy but was clean and a great value.

Great value

I booked a single person stay with this comfort hotel. My friends booked a different hotel close to mine. When my friends come to my hotel room to grab a drink and have a conversation with me. The staff stop my friends come to my room. And I have told the staff my friends won't stay overnight. They still asked for money to allow my friend to come to my room. They said the hotel need to register every guest to visit the hotel. But the truth was they just took the 2000 yen for each  visitor, but never actually register the visitors' information. What a BS from the staff! I still remeber the name of the staff is Tanka.
I believe that these issues are a reflection of poor management and training of staff. As a paying guest, I expect to receive good value for my money and a pleasant stay. However, my experience at your hotel has left me disappointed and frustrated.

Breach their own policy. Terrible staff .

The room was clean, if a bit small.  The bathroom was a prefabricated unit, leading it to feel a bit plastic-y, but it served us well enough.  The linens were a tiny bit scratchy and the single pillow was a little small but otherwise the room was just fine.  We do wish that we did not get a new bag of towels/slippers/toothbrush every day that we set our room to do not disturb…it seemed a bit wasteful.  There was breakfast included, though we chose to sleep in a little and missed it every day (the last seating was 9:30).  There was also laundry and vending machines in the building as well.
It is of note that the closest JR train is at least a 7-10 minute walk from this hotel, although this did lead to it being quite quiet in the area nearby.
