Great hotel in Ginza!!!!! Excellent location a very short walk to the train station and near lots of major shops and restaurants! We were a ten minute walk within everything in the area and right by an entrance to the train station.
We had a group of 3 staying in the triple room which felt spacious by Tokyo standards. The room was clean, beds were nice.
The onsen in the hotel was excellent with nice hot water.
For the price this is a great hotel in the area!! I would definitely stay again!

We have just returned from a two week trip to Japan, staying in various hotels. We originally had a different hotel in Tokyo booked for our final two nights, however after staying in a Mitsui Garden in Kyoto (which was absolutely beautiful and spotless) we decided to change to a Mitsui Garden Hotel in Tokyo.

Unfortunately the standard of this hotel was very very poor compared to the Kyoto one we stayed in. We checked in at 3pm, however literally just dropped our bags off and didn’t take much notice of the room, first impressions was that while it was small (usual for Tokyo hotels), it was suitable. Unfortunately when we arrived back, I noticed how unclean the room was. There was a lot of dust all over the sides, there were stains on the wall at the side of the bed and various other stains around the room in the bathroom, there was toothpaste stains on the wall next to the sink. I was really unhappy with the cleanliness and was not prepared to stay in the room.

I went down to reception to complain and ask to change room,  the staff were fine and upgraded us to a bigger room as the room type we booked was not available. A staff member met us at the new room so that we could check we were happy with it. The room was much more spacious than the previous room which we were happy with, and initially thoughts were that it was a nice room, and at this point it was almost 1am so we accepted it. Unfortunately after this, again while we were getting ready for bed I noticed more marks on the headboard and the next morning when it was lighter there was so much dust around the room. I did wake up in the night coughing and I feel this was from the amount of dust. It is such a shame as the hotel has potential to be lovely. However they really need to up their standards with the cleanliness as it is letting the Mitsui Garden name down. The lobby was spotless and beautiful however once you get in the loft and hallways that’s when you also notice the lack of cleanliness.

Disappointing stay

We stayed for 4 nights at this location. In the past, we use to stay at Hyatt Shinjuku (rooms were bigger but prices has increased after Covid). 

We decided to try a new place since the prices are almost the same 40,000y category. 

Nice hotel with awesome location and the only shortcoming there is no proper taxi drop off point and most vehicles have to wait or park along the main road with hazard light or driver inside the vehicle.  We had driven from Aomori to
Tokyo and Toyota rental car GPS had problem locating the hotel entrance.  We had to make another round the block. 

Secondly, you have to carry your luggage over a planter barrier. Can the hotel management request from the city authority to make a gap and slope between the planters for easy passenger alighting.

The airport limousine bus does not stop at this hotel. Taxi ride to Haneda (17km @ 500y per km). Tokyo station is about 1.5km away.

We were trying to get the hotel assistance for restaurant reservations but the reply I got from the hotel was they can only do it after the guests have check in. No way can you get seats at popular restaurants upon your arrival. Some reservations open a month ahead. The hotel
can ask the guests for their hotel credit card to pre- authorise for reservations. 

Some traffic noise can be heard but it was minimal and did not affect the sleep.

Great idea of a Onsen, microwave, and coin laundry machine (2), treadmill (3),  though limited for 300room hotel. You be walking more than 20k steps and don’t need the gym. 

Other than the above 2 feedback, great stay and clean, well maintained hotel. Rooms were on the smaller scale (24 sqm). Tough with 2 big suitcases. 

Highly recommended.

Great stay

I was originally booked at a hotel in Shinjuku but since this was our first time in Tokyo..i wanted a less hectic place and my research suggested to stay in Ginza.
THis hotel checked all my familys boxes. 
-Close to the metro line/higash ginza station
-close to konbinis
-near Ginza if we have to walk there it was 5 minutes away
-on the quieter side

Arrived here from Narita and it was quite easy as we just took the keisei sky access which stopped directly at Higashi-Ginza station. Walked across the street from Kabuki-za theatre and took the escalators up. Note that there is the D4 exit which is closer to the hotel but it had stairs..so not exactly most convenient if you are lugging around luggage or tired from a day of walking
Checked in and was greeted warmly. They directed us to use the 3 check in machines. Easy peasy as they helped us walk thru it and answered any questions we had. We booked a executive twin and a moderate twin and i emailed earlier to ask if we could have it on the same floor.  We were not directly joining but separated by one room which was great. 
I would consider it pretty spacious for a room in Japan as we had plenty of room for our luggage and all the things we bought. Didn't have to close the luggages as there was plenty of room to lay it open. 
THe room was clean however some areas were still a little dusty like the top ledges(i can't fault them as really no one is touching that area of the room)
Our view was of the street across from us. I was concerned about previous reviews about the noise from the streets and while you can hear it with cars with loud exhaust ripping it..didn't really affect us(we were too tired from walking around all day and passed out quickly).
The cleaning staff were very good as well as somedays we didn't need them to clean the room but they always asked if we needed anything.
Walkable to tsukiji market which we went to 3 times during our week long stay there. Took us about 8 minutes with a couple of minutes waiting for the lights to turn green. 2 7-11 around the corner and family mart a little further down the block was a godsend. Easy snacks and breakfast. I didn't choose the breakfast package at the hotel as i planned on eating at konbini and at tsukiji(Gyudon at Kitsuneya)
As i said one of the things we wanted to do was to be near a metro line. ALl the research i read was to stay near a JR station..why? its so freaking busy at all the JR stations we went to. it was nice having Hibiya and Asakusa lines as it was way less busy and easy to transfer to other stations if needed.
Easy 5 minute walk to Ginza station if you wanted to go elsewhere like Shibuya or a 10 minute walk to Shimbashi(where we got our kids Suica cards) and Don Quijote. 
We didn't make use of the onsen or the laundry facilities. We did use the microwaves on floor 6 which was convenient on our last day as it was raining and i didn't want to walk to Tsukiji market. They do have umbrellas to lend our if you need it which was nice but we were lucky and wasnt really needed during our stay.
Cocokara across the street was also good since we could buy all the tiktok/instagram Jbeauty stuff there if needed.

Would we stay again...YES we would and planning to do so again next year.
