Mitsui Garden Hotel Jingugaien Tokyo Premier

This is a great hotel in a quieter area of Tokyo. 

My partner has stopped here previously however this was my first time. 

The hotel is near train lines which gives it great access to the whole of Tokyo. 

The check in procedure was a little long winded for some unknown reason (especially when you haven’t slept for 24 hours due to flights) however that was the only small issue throughout our time here. 

We were on the eleventh floor and had a good view of the surrounding area. 

The room was a little compact but it’s what you come to expect with rooms in the city. We were just quite tidy and made as much use of the space as possible. 

The rooms had everything you needed in them and they were cleaned everyday. Couldn’t fault them other than they are small. 

There is laundry facilities at the hotel which we used. You get the occasional person who uses all four washing machines at the same time but you can’t blame the hotel for that, it’s just selfish guests or they leave the washing in the washing machine so you have to ring the reception and they will get a staff member to remove the washing from the machine. 

The hot bath is fantastic, used it every night and there was rarely one other person in there when I was in there. I suppose it’s the luck of the draw but it was quiet, relaxing and definitely worth using. When you check in you get all the information regarding it and what to do and what not to do. 

The bakery on the ground floor is great, the coffee is okay, would be better with a barista made coffee but it did the job. 

We didn’t use the restaurant at all during the stay. 

There is a running track outside the hotel, 1.35km per loop which I used in the mornings. 

The gym I didn’t use however there is cardio machines in there, just no weights. 

The wifi is great and I would recommend stopping here. Yes it’s quieter but I took that as a good thing. 

When you have spent days sightseeing I wanted it to be quiet.

Great hotel for a City break

This hotel was the perfect place for our 5-night stay in Tokyo. 
The hotel is fairly new, as is everything in the surrounding area. It is right next door to the Olympic Stadium built for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Kokuritsu-kyogijo station (E25) on the Oedo line is next door to the hotel, making travel around the city very straightforward. I recommend downloading one of the IC Card apps, PASMO or SUICA, and using this for subway travel. 
The bedroom was comfortable, although slightly small (which is standard for most city hotels). It's equipped with a fridge, kettle, ironing board, iron etc. Complimentary pyjamas and slippers and plenty of good quality complimentary toiletries are provided. Our room had a balcony, from which we could see Mnt Fuji. 
The restaurant on the ground floor was good for breakfast, with an enormous selection of breakfast options. Breakfast was busy, though; expect to wait 10-15 mins for a table to be available (or go early).
A small but convenient bakery is also located on the ground floor. This was excellent for freshly baked snacks and was open all day until 8pm. 
We didn't find many places to eat in the area around the hotel, except for a very good Italian restaurant, Goodmorning Cafe. I recommend eating dinner in Shinjuku, 2 stops further on the Oedo line. Or, a little further away, you'll find Shibuya. 
The hotel staff were all super-polite and helpful, this made us feel very welcomed and was a great introduction to Tokyo.

Affordable luxury in a great location

My friend and I shared this room on the third floor for 5 nights. The space was very tight between the ends of the beds and both sides. To move around was a bit of a squeeze and there was no space between the beds.
The beds were large and I think it may have been a double room converted to a twin.

When having a shower, you need to extend the privacy screen next to the beds to close off the shower area, or you are changing in full view of the room.
We also had a nice balcony, but the furniture on it is fixed in place, (with only one chair).

Breakfast was in the restaurant downstairs, and the food was excellent. The Eggs Benny is made on request and was amazing.

Location of the hotel is lovely, directly opposite the Tokyo stadium, but for any food or shopping, (i.e. 7/11), you need to walk 5-10 min to find anything. There is a metro station opposite, and another 5-10 min walk away. It's not in the middle of any attractions, but if you wanted something quiet in Tokyo, this would be it.

Great breakfast, squishy room.

This hotel would have to be one of the best I have stayed in across my travels around the world. Everything, yes everything, is of the highest standard. Of particular note are the distinguished hospitality of K. Shindo (Reception Team) and Ko (Housekeeping Team). 

It is because of K. Shindo that I extended from 2 nights to 8 nights. I also recommended this hotel to a friend of mine, who then did stay for 4 nights. K. Shindo was caring and accommodating from the very start, and he made me feel very welcome. Mitsui Garden Hotels is very lucky to have K. Shindo.  

Likewise for Ko, Team Leader of Housekeeping on Floor 12. In all of my many hotel stays, the housekeeping at this hotel is world-class. Mitsui Garden Hotels is also very lucky to have Ko and the Team.
