remm plus Ginza

Located directly across the street from The B Ginza and basically around the corner from Don Quijote, about a 5-minute walk from the JR Shimbashi Station. If you come from the station and make it to Don Quijote with Natural Lawson in front of you, Remm is basically diagonally to the left, a little farther along.

The room was pretty new, well-maintained, and spacious for Tokyo standards with a comfortable layout. There is a massage chair in the room which some might love, and some might find is a waste of space; we thought the latter.

While the room appeared spotless housekeeping did seem to clean it somewhat haphazardly and erratically—moving our belongings and providing new pajama sets randomly strewn across the vanity instead of placed on the bed (with one set missing pants) so we decided to not have the room cleaned for the rest of our stay as we didn't want them moving around our personal things.

Staff are courteous and professional but there's always room to improve in terms of customer service and obtaining guest satisfaction. We kindly asked for another bottle of water and were declined which seemed pretty silly.

Worth noting, there's no coin laundry machine at this hotel. You can book a luggage delivery service by yourself through a company they collaborate with but it's a smaller company so it's not as widespread as Yamato (for example, couldn't send to Kyoto) but luckily there's a Yamato office close by.

Comfortable room, Somewhat erratic housekeeping

Excellent location...especially if you are into designer shops... but also there is a bunch of restaurants nearby...
The room is small but comfy and clean! City tax was paid on arrival ($4pn). Staff pleasant and helpful. They provided PJ and various chargers.

A+ for location

Great functional hotel in Ginza. I had stayed at The B just across Remm many times and decided to give Remm a try this time and though Remm definitely feels more upscale and more “business”, both hotels are really very similar and I will consider both and base my decision on price. 

If you are looking for a more classic and formal option, Remm suits you. The bedding was very comfortable and way better and plusher than The B’s and amenities are also a level above, with turndown chocolates, premium amenities from lobby (they have fancy eye masks and brand-name facial cleaning sets, huge tea selection and good proper drip bag coffees).

Only gripe is that there is no self laundry available in this hotel so for people on an extended holiday in Japan, this can be a problem. And also, even though the hotel cites the in-room massage chair as a unique amenity, the reality is that the chair does take up space and one really dosnt use it that often.

Functional and good

Good and clean rooms and toilets. Well maintained. Courteous staff. Breakfast is a plus. Location (right at the Ginza shopping place) is a great plus. They can as well do away with that massaging sofa. Occupies space and makes it difficult to move around and store your luggage.
