Shinjuku Kuyakusho-mae Capsule Hotel

It is what it is. The capsules are more spacious than you expect and comfortable.
It’s very well located and reasonably priced. Bit annoying that you have to check out by 10am even if staying multiple nights, but I found that’s fairly standard practice and you can leave you belongings in the lockers.
Spa area is clean and a good size, vending machines well-stocked, comfortable pyjamas; all in all, not a bad place to stay for your first night in Japan.

First- timer’s First-night

I stayed at this hostel a few years ago and found it very good. I recommend it and would stay there again. It's very clean, the bathrooms are very good (clean and very well equipped), there's a floor of capsules just for women and a elevator that allows you to see the streets before leaving the hostel. The price is fair and it is also well located

It is worth it

I had the misfortune of staying at the Shinjuku Kuyakusho-mae Capsule Hotel, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The capsules were cramped and uncomfortable, with barely enough space to move. The bedding was dirty, and it felt like it hadn't been cleaned in ages.

The noise level was unbearable. Despite the supposed quiet hours, there was constant chatter and loud noises throughout the night, making it impossible to get any rest. The shared bathrooms were filthy and poorly maintained, adding to the overall unpleasant experience.

The staff were unhelpful and seemed indifferent to the guests' needs. There was no sense of hospitality or care. For the price, there are far better options in Tokyo. I would strongly advise against staying here unless you want a miserable and sleepless night.

**Shinjuku Kuyakusho-mae Capsule Hotel - A Nightmare Stay**

For my first trip to Tokyo I knew I wanted to stay in Shinjuku and I wanted ton stay in a capsule hotel. This was great. 

It is a proper capsule hotel with rows of cubbyhole bunks. Quite comfortable and I had no issues with noise. You get a locker for your stuff, bedding, PJs, slippers, some toiletries, a towel...everything you need.

The bathrooms were big and well equipped. Breakfast was included but it was in a separate building somewhere and I never bothered to go find it. I just got a tin of coffee from the vending machines on the kitchen floor. The wifi was good.

There is a weird thing where you sort have to check out for a bout 4 hours each day, but I could leave my bag in the locker and I had the same bunk, so it wasn't a big deal.

The place, despite being on an upper floor of a tower is easy to find (I used maps.me) and it is just a couple mis form the train station.

I thought it was awesome and would definitely stay there again.
