Just a heads up, all a la carte restaurants are closed one day a week. They also require prior reservation and a cover charge that varies by restaurant. Vogatore, Radika, Agave and Kekik are all located at the Von Resort Golden Beach.

• Swimming has never been more relaxing than at the giant pool that this hotel has got on offer, it's not quite Olympic-sized, but it gives them a run for their money. That's not even mentioning the separate pool for the kiddos and all that sun lounger space too. You'll have no problem staying out of the splash zone!

• Aqua Park - eleven exhilarating water slides with all the zooming, twisty-turny action you and the little ones are craving - an absolute belter of a day, and you don't even need to leave the resort to enjoy it.

• Positively Pierfect - the seasonal pier offers you all the bliss of the ocean waves without the getting sand in your shoes bit, think private pavilions you can book out, public spaces to stroll and even a bar and nightclub (nightclub is only open on select days, the Pier is open from 01/05 - 31/10)

• Sports Galore - we're talking more ways to get active than days in the week, yeah, that many - think beach volleyball, basketball, table tennis, bowling, billiards, bike rental and a ton of water sports like banana boating, water skiing and scuba diving if you've got your sea legs well and truly screwed on tight (some extra charges apply).

• Evening Entertainment - live music, themed parties, and karaoke nights to keep the good times rolling.
