You'll be in an Empire State of Mind at this chic, city centre spot. We say that because you can literally see the iconic building from the hotel's rooftop bar, and it's only a few minutes' walk away. In fact, pretty much all the top sights of the city are only a walk away. And after a day's exploring, there's no better feeling than a swanky meal in your hotel before heading to bed and staring out at the city lights - it's all waiting for you at Arlo NoMad.

Food & Drink

• Bodega - your in-house pantry and a one-stop-shop for tasty local snacks, speedy breakfasts and deli-style lunches. It's also the place to grab a quick coffee on your way out to the city streets

• Lamalo - Middle Eastern vibes, classic Israeli dishes and a few NYC favourites chucked in there for good measure. Open for brekkie and dinner Monday-Friday and for brunch on weekends (we'd recommend the shakshuka!)

• A.R.T. NoMad - 31st-floor rooftop lounge with views of the Empire State Building and the twinkling lights of the NYC skyline. It's got private pods for when the evenings get a bit chillier, and there's a 'sky walk' glass floor, too, for an adrenaline-inducing photo op. Oh, and wine... lots of wine

• BARlo - not only do we love a good pun, but we also adore a cosy hotel lounge. This place has got an urban spin on it, with concrete walls and leather sofas, and we've heard they shake up a mean cocktail
