This place is good if you want to stay in a less hectic side of Brooklyn. There are many food trucks and restaurants close by.  It is clean and comfortable.  The staff are  professional and responsive.  I have stayed here a few times and no issues. .

Gem In Brooklyn

CLEAN, newer, very well kept hotel! We visit the Bay Ridge area several times a year and have struggled to find a great hotel.  Most are gloomy, small and unkempt. Finally found the AVID which is everything we’ve been looking for.  The hotel staff were amazing and accommodating.  Everyone was super friendly including janitorial staff.  
Breakfast is served every day and coffee was fresh and delicious.
The rooms are what you would expect in Brooklyn, not a lot of room but the Avid makes great use of the available space.  I cannot express how clean this hotel was! The bed was super comfy as well. We will definitely be back!

Great Brooklyn Hotel!

Had a great time at the Avid Hotel. The hotel and room was spotless and the bed was super comfortable. 

Rooms have Chromecast and streaming capabilities and everything in the room is modern and new.

Breakfast was limited but sufficient. You have the options of omelettes, yoghurts, bagels, fruits and much more. 24hr coffee is provided. 

The staff on hand were all excellent and IHG members get late checkout till 2pm - what’s not to like! 

Visitors going to Manhattan can either get the subway which is a 10 minute walk or the X28/X38 which stops across the road. Both options take the best part of 25-40mins to get to Downtown Manhattan. 

For the price point, this is an excellent hotel.

Excellent hotel that exceeds in all the basics

My partner and I drop into NY constantly and will rearrange our schedule if this hotel is not available! It is that great! The Front Desk staff, top-tier, housekeeping couldn’t be better. Not a single complaint ever in any room I’ve stayed in. Spotless across the board. Breakfast is great. Location is great, right by the highway, 10 minutes to the train. Super convenient. The whole team is filled with superstars. Totally underrated establishment.
